We are looking for System Engineer TCMS – Auxiliary / APS Functions You’ll make a difference by Job Summary: As a System Engineer – TCMS Auxiliary / APS Functions, you will be responsible for development and integration of Auxiliary Power Supply (APS) and auxiliary control functionalities within the Train Control & Management System (TCMS). You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable power management, monitoring, protection, and operational control of auxiliary systems for modern rolling stock platforms. Your Roles & Responsibilities: • Define and develop auxiliary and APS control functionalities within TCMS architecture. • Develop operation logics for battery charging, APS control, load management, power distribution, and auxiliary protections. • Define monitoring and control concepts for converters, battery chargers, compressors, cooling systems, and auxiliary equipment. • Alignment with component suppliers and development of RArS, SWrS, interface documents, and test specifications. • Define communication interfaces with auxiliary systems using MVB, Ethernet, WTB, or TRDP protocols. • Develop fault handling, diagnostics, alarm management, and operational monitoring concepts for APS and auxiliary systems. • Prepare and review system specifications, functional descriptions, and interface documents. • Coordinate with system, software, RAMS, testing, and cybersecurity teams for successful project execution. • Ensure compliance with IEC 61131, IEC 61375, IEC 50128, EN 50657, and project-specific requirements. • Support technical discussions, requirement clarifications, and issue resolution activities. • Contribute to improving reliability, maintainability, and operational efficiency of train auxiliary systems. Desired Skills: • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Computer Science, or related engineering field. • 5–10 years of experience in TCMS, rolling stock, auxiliary systems, or train control system engineering. • Hands-on experience in development of control documents such as RArS, SWrS, interface specifications, and test specifications. • Experience in APS systems, battery charger functions, auxiliary control logic development, diagnostics, and operational functionalities. • Hands-on experience with MVB, WTB, Ethernet, TRDP, and onboard communication protocols. • Sound knowledge of train subsystems such as traction, brake, HVAC, doors, auxiliary systems, and vehicle control functions. • Good understanding of railway standards such as IEC 61131, IEC 61375, IEC 50128, and EN 50657. • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and multicultural engineering teams. • Exposure to power management concepts, diagnostics, cybersecurity, or condition monitoring will be an added advantage.
