Description and Requirements
Role overview
We are building Qira, Lenovo’s personal AI ecosystem that brings intelligent, context-aware experiences across devices. This role leads the engineering strategy and execution for third party agent integrations, enabling Qira to connect with external ecosystems through tools, MCP servers, and partner APIs. The focus is to make Qira a powerful, extensible platform that can orchestrate capabilities beyond Lenovo’s native stack.
What you will do
- Own the architecture and delivery of Qira’s third party agent layer including MCP based integrations, partner SDKs, and external tool orchestration
- Build and scale a high-performing engineering team focused on agent integration, reliability, and extensibility
- Define how Qira discovers, invokes, and manages third party capabilities across local and cloud environments
- Partner with product, partnerships, and platform teams to bring strategic integrations to life
- Drive a clean separation between first party, hosted, and third party capabilities while ensuring consistent developer and user experience
- Establish best practices for security, privacy, and permissioning across external integrations
- Improve latency, reliability, and observability of tool invocation and agent workflows
- Work closely with cloud and on-device orchestration teams to ensure seamless hybrid execution
- Contribute to Qira’s SDK and developer platform strategy to enable ecosystem growth
What you bring
- Strong experience building and scaling distributed systems or platform level products
- Deep understanding of APIs, SDKs, and integration patterns across cloud and client environments
- Hands-on experience with LLM based systems, agent frameworks, or tool orchestration is highly preferred
- Experience leading engineering teams and delivering complex, cross-functional initiatives
- Strong product thinking with ability to translate ecosystem strategy into execution
- Familiarity with security, identity, and data privacy considerations in platform design
- Comfort working in fast-moving, startup-like environments within large organizations
Nice to have
- Experience with MCP or similar tool invocation protocols
- Background in developer platforms or partner ecosystems
- Experience with hybrid architectures combining on-device and cloud intelligence
- Exposure to mobile, PC, or cross-device ecosystems
Why this role matters
Qira’s strength is not just intelligence, but reach. This role defines how Qira connects to the outside world, turning it from a standalone assistant into a true ecosystem platform. The work here directly shapes partner strategy, developer experience, and long-term differentiation.
