The successful candidate will be instrumental in guiding product strategy by leveraging data-driven insights and working closely with multiple teams to improve our data pipeline and product features.
Key Responsibilities ● Product Direction ○ Examine current data to identify trends and uncover opportunities for new features and enhancements ○ Design and deploy advanced analytical models to steer product strategy ○ Deliver data-driven insights and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership ● Data Analysis and Visualization ○ Employ advanced SQL techniques to query and manage complex datasets ○ Develop insightful reports and interactive visualizations using platforms such as Redash ○ Build and sustain dashboards to track key performance indicators ● Data Requirements Elicitation ○ Act as a data expert in customer-facing interactions, addressing complex data-related queries ○ Communicate technical findings clearly and effectively to non-technical audiences ○ Partner with customer success teams to identify and troubleshoot data-related challenges ● Data Pipeline Enhancement ○ Collaborate closely with software development teams to discover ways to improve the data pipeline ○ Recommend and execute new data collection strategies to support product direction initiatives ○ Maintain data quality and integrity across the pipeline Qualifications ● Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a closely related field ● Over 2 years of experience in data analysis, data science, or product analysis roles ● Demonstrated success in using data to influence product decisions and strategy ● Expert proficiency in SQL and hands-on experience with data visualization tools such as Redash, Tableau, or Power BI ● Strong programming abilities in Python or R ● Experience in customer-facing roles with the skill to explain complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders ● Knowledge of data pipeline structures and ETL workflows ● Excellent problem-solving capabilities and analytical thinking ● Effective communication and teamwork skills Preferred Qualifications ● Experience within the entertainment and video streaming industries ● Understanding of machine learning methods and their application in product development ● Familiarity with big data technologies like Hadoop and Spark ● Experience working with cloud-based data platforms, including AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure If you are enthusiastic about using data to fuel product innovation and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, we would love to connect with you!
