This role is for one of the Weekday's clients Salary range: Rs 200000 - Rs 300000 (ie INR 2 - 3 LPA) Min Experience: 1 years Location: Mumbai JobType: full-time We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Executive with 1–4 years of experience to join our finance team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles and demonstrate proficiency in both written and spoken Gujarati.
This role requires handling day-to-day financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and supporting financial reporting processes while effectively communicating with Gujarati-speaking clients or stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities: Manage daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all transactions are properly documented.
Prepare and process invoices, payments, and bank reconciliations in a timely manner.
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Reconcile discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders for financial data and clarifications.
Communicate effectively with Gujarati-speaking clients/vendors through emails, calls, and documentation.
Support audits by providing required documentation and explanations.
Monitor expenses and assist in budget tracking and reporting.
Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
1–4 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance roles.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, bookkeeping, and financial reporting.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.
g., Tally, QuickBooks, or similar tools) and MS Excel.
Ability to analyze financial data and identify discrepancies.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Gujarati (mandatory).
Good communication skills in English and/or Hindi are an added advantage.
Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Basic understanding of taxation (GST, TDS) is preferred.
