Job Summary:

The Architect is responsible for planning, developing, and implementing building designs that align with client requirements and organizational standards. This includes preparing feasibility reports, assessing environmental impacts, creating project proposals, estimating costs, determining timelines, and overseeing construction processes. The role ensures smooth execution of project activities from planning to completion, in compliance with Qatar laws and company regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Engagement & Design Development

  • Build and maintain professional relationships with clients to understand their vision and requirements.
  • Translate client briefs into innovative and functional architectural concepts.
  • Prepare detailed drawings and schematics that reflect client expectations and project goals.
  • Ensure timely delivery of concept designs and secure client approvals.

Project Coordination & Execution

  • Manage design stages including concept, schematic, detailed design, and construction documentation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants to ensure design feasibility and compliance.
  • Coordinate with engineers, quantity surveyors, and construction managers to align design with budget and technical constraints.
  • Participate in constructability reviews and integrate feedback into design revisions.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Review and validate design deliverables across all project stages.
  • Assist in preparing tender applications, proposals, and contracts.
  • Generate reports and presentations for clients, management, and stakeholders.
  • Specify materials and coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely availability.

Job Knowledge & Skills:

  • Strong design and architectural skills with attention to detail.
  • In-depth knowledge of building codes, construction methods, and environmental regulations.
  • Excellent communication and analytical thinking abilities.
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in preparing tender documents and project presentations.
  • Membership in a professional architectural association (e.g., RIBA, AIA) is preferred.
  • ERP knowledge, preferably SAP functional skills, is required.

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum 8 years of professional experience in architecture.
  • At least 5 years in a relevant role.
  • 2 years of experience in the GCC region is a plus.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture.
  • Professional registration with MMUP (UPDA) is required.
