Job Family: Design & Technical
Job Summary:
The Technical and Engineering Manager is responsible for overseeing all engineering and technical aspects of the company's operations. This includes value engineering, construction methodology, method statements, engineering design drawings, shop drawings, material submittals, and follow-up approvals. The role ensures that all technical deliverables meet quality standards, project timelines, and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Design & Engineering Leadership
- Lead the design team in developing innovative and high-quality engineering solutions.
- Manage design projects from concept to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Provide expert technical guidance and support to design and engineering teams.
- Develop and enforce design standards, procedures, and best practices.
Project & Quality Management
- Oversee quality assurance processes to ensure all designs meet industry standards and client requirements.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with design and technical projects.
- Promote continuous improvement initiatives to enhance team efficiency and effectiveness.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with product development, marketing, manufacturing, and construction teams to ensure cohesive project execution.
- Allocate resources effectively to support design and technical projects.
Innovation & Technology
- Drive innovation in design methodologies and technologies to maintain competitive advantage.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely preparation and approval of method statements, shop drawings, and material submittals.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and suppliers to resolve technical issues.
- Support tendering and procurement processes with technical evaluations.
- Monitor compliance with HSE standards and engineering codes.
Job Knowledge & Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of engineering principles, techniques, policies, and procedures.
- Strong understanding of material engineering properties and global/local availability.
- Excellent technical skills in preparing and reviewing technical drawings.
- Solid knowledge of project management methodologies.
- ERP proficiency, preferably with SAP functional skills.
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum 8 years of relevant working experience.
- At least 5 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the GCC region is a plus.
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or related field).
- Professional certification: MMUP Engineer Registration (UPDA) is required.

- Advanced skills in engineering and design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D).
- ERP systems knowledge, with SAP functional skills being a strong advantage.
