Role Overview
Megamarket is seeking a highly skilled Workshop Manager to lead and oversee the operations of our large-scale workshop. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient servicing, repair, and maintenance of our extensive fleet, which includes haulage trucks, trailers, construction equipment, and forklifts. This is a senior leadership role requiring strong technical expertise, proven management ability, and hands-on experience with heavy-duty vehicles.

Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Expertise – Advanced technical knowledge in servicing, diagnostics, and repair of heavy-duty trucks, trailers, forklifts, and construction equipment, particularly Renault, Volvo, and Shacman fleets.
Workshop Operations Management – Ability to plan, coordinate, and optimise large-scale workshop operations, ensuring high productivity, minimal downtime, and adherence to maintenance schedules.
Fleet Maintenance Planning – Strong capability in developing and implementing preventive and predictive maintenance programs for large fleets.
Technical Diagnostics & Troubleshooting – Expertise in identifying complex mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic faults in heavy vehicles and equipment.
Team Leadership & Supervision – Proven ability to lead, train, and manage teams of mechanics, technicians, and support staff in a high-performance workshop environment.
Spare Parts & Inventory Management – Competence in managing workshop inventory, procurement, and stock control for spare parts, tools, and consumables.
Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance – Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety standards, workshop safety procedures, and environmental compliance requirements.
Budgeting & Cost Control – Ability to manage workshop budgets, monitor repair and maintenance costs, and implement cost-effective operational practices.
Maintenance Management Systems – Proficiency in using workshop management systems, maintenance tracking tools, and reporting platforms to monitor fleet performance.
Supplier & Stakeholder Coordination – Ability to work effectively with suppliers, contractors, and internal departments to ensure efficient workshop operations.
Problem Solving & Decision Making – Strong analytical skills to resolve operational challenges, prioritise repairs, and ensure rapid turnaround of vehicles and equipment.
Process Improvement & Efficiency – Ability to implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workshop productivity and service quality.
