micro1 is engaging Engineering & Technical Documentation Specialists to contribute to a significant customer project focused on advancing technical content understanding. In this role, you'll apply your expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input. No prior experience in AI is required — your domain knowledge is what matters.


Scope of Work

  1. Analyze and interpret a wide range of technical documents, including engineering drawings, blueprints, CAD outputs, schematics, project plans, and inspection reports.
  2. Develop comprehensive rubrics and structured guidelines for evaluating visual and technical documentation within your field of expertise.
  3. Provide detailed explanations of technical diagrams, tables, and charts, ensuring accurate representation of domain-specific concepts and terminologies.
  4. Review, annotate, and clarify complex technical materials to support advanced data labeling and content understanding tasks.
  5. Collaborate with project leads and technical professionals to align deliverables with project goals and quality standards.
  6. Translate intricate engineering or construction concepts into clear instructional materials for AI model development.
  7. Support quality assurance efforts by validating the accuracy and completeness of technical documentation rubrics.


Preferred Qualifications

  1. 3–5+ years of experience working in engineering, construction, architecture, manufacturing, or closely related technical domains.
  2. Strong proficiency in interpreting and creating technical documentation, including familiarity with blueprints, engineering drawings, CAD files, and schematics.
  3. Background as a Mechanical Engineer, Civil Engineer, Architect, Industrial Engineer, Construction Manager, Manufacturing Engineer, or CAD Specialist is highly valued.
  4. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on clarity and precision in technical contexts.
  5. Demonstrated ability to translate visual information and complex concepts into structured, understandable formats.
  6. Experience with developing rubrics, checklists, or instructional materials for technical or educational purposes is a plus.
  7. Comfort working independently in a remote setting, with strong attention to detail and accountability for deliverables.
