I have several printed novels that need to be turned into clean, searchable MS Word documents. Every chapter, paragraph and line break must be reproduced exactly as it appears on the page, so a sharp eye for punctuation, spelling and section headings is essential.  

You will receive high-resolution scans (or photographs) of each novel. Work at your own pace, yet keep a steady rhythm—accuracy comes first, but I would like regular progress updates so I can spot-check along the way. A light proof-read before delivery is appreciated; obvious typos in the source should be preserved unless they are clearly printing errors, in which case please flag them in a comment.  

Deliverables  

• One .docx file per novel, formatted in Microsoft Word  

• Consistent use of styles for chapter titles, sub-headings and body text  

• Page numbers inserted to match the original print edition  

• A brief log noting any illegible pages or uncertainties  

Completion of the initial novel to my satisfaction will open the door to the remaining titles in the series. If you are comfortable with long-form typing, meticulous about detail and familiar with Word’s style tools, I would love to see a short sample of your work on a single scanned page before we begin.
