Technician - Equipment -ACW (Runway Sweeper/Rubber Removal Machines)

We are looking for a Technician to operate the utility vehicles including but not limited to petrol or diesel runway and road sweepers, trucks, loaders, litter vacuum machines, hydro-blasting machines and access equipment. Ensure facilities roadways including GSE roads, car parks, tunnels, fence and apron area are maintained free of FOD / debris always.

The role will be based in Dubai Airports.

Key accountabilities

• Operate the Utility Vehicles in accordance with the manufacturer instructions and company procedures.
• Ensure facilities roadways, car parks, tunnels, fence and apron area are maintained free of FOD / debris always.
• Maintain a clean and functioning vehicle, report/ notify Supervisors any defects and damages of the assigned vehicle during the course of the shift, ensure empty road sweeper machine at the end of the shift and carry out cleaning of the vehicle.
• Be aware of and adhere to all Safety & Security rules and regulations.
• Able to speak and understand English with good level of Fluency.
• Airport experience is highly desirable and Knowledge of Airport’s Safety, particularly ramp safety rule.

Specific requirements

• High School diploma level and be trained in an appropriate field related to the specific work area.
• A minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role is preferred
• IELTS/or equivalent level of spoken and written English.
• Valid UAE driving license Catergory 4 and/or 8. Air Side Driving Permit ADP Level 4
• Training Certificate for heavy equipment’s (Like Sweeper, hydro blast)
• Assets Exposure: Airfield (Runways, Taxiways, Stands, Roads etc.)
