Xplatform Group is seeking a full-time Senior Odoo Technical-Functional Developer to lead the complete implementation, configuration, customization, deployment, training, and ongoing support of Odoo ERP across the Group.
The successful candidate will work on-site in Ajman and will be responsible for implementing Odoo across several business units with different operating models, including manufacturing, industrial projects, product sales, equipment rental, rope-access services, project execution, installation, maintenance, and after-sales support.
The role requires a professional who combines strong Odoo development skills with functional ERP knowledge. The candidate must be able to understand business workflows, recommend suitable standard Odoo processes, configure modules, develop approved custom solutions, migrate data, train users, and manage the implementation from initial analysis through go-live and post-implementation support.

Key responsibilities:
• Lead the full Odoo ERP implementation across Xplatform Group.
• Conduct workshops with management and department heads to understand current processes and define future ERP workflows.
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications, system configurations, approval rules, reports, and technical solutions.
• Configure Odoo applications covering CRM, Sales, Accounting, Purchase, Inventory, Manufacturing, Rental, Projects, Field Service, Maintenance, HR, Payroll, Quality, Documents, Approvals, and related modules.
• Design and manage multi-company and intercompany workflows for UAE and KSA entities.
• Configure charts of accounts, journals, taxes, analytic accounts, cost centres, project costing, budgets, and management reports in coordination with Finance.
• Develop, test, document, and maintain custom Odoo modules where approved and technically necessary.
• Use standard Odoo functionality and Odoo Studio whenever practical before recommending custom development.
• Develop integrations with external systems through APIs.
• Configure user roles, access rights, record rules, approval limits, and audit controls.
• Prepare and execute data migration for customers, suppliers, products, employees, opening balances, stock, assets, active projects, and other required records.
• Create reports, dashboards, document templates, automated actions, scheduled activities, and management notifications.
• Establish development, testing, user-acceptance, and production deployment procedures.
• Ensure that no untested configuration or code is introduced directly into the live system.
• Prepare test scenarios and coordinate user acceptance testing with all departments.
• Train key users and end users and prepare clear user manuals and process documentation.
• Support go-live, resolve implementation issues, and provide ongoing user and technical support.
• Maintain proper source-code control, technical documentation, configuration records, and change history.
• Evaluate requested ERP changes and explain their possible impact on Finance, Operations, Procurement, Inventory, HR, reporting, and other workflows before implementation.
• Support ISO 9001-related processes, including controlled documents, approvals, inspections, non-conformance reports, corrective actions, supplier evaluations, and customer complaints.
• Support UAE VAT and KSA VAT/ZATCA-related configurations in coordination with Finance and external advisors.

Required qualifications and skills:
• 5–10 years of practical Odoo ERP experience.
• At least three successfully completed end-to-end Odoo implementations.
• Strong combined technical and functional Odoo experience.
• Strong knowledge of Odoo multi-company configuration and intercompany transactions.
• Advanced Python development skills.
• Strong knowledge of the Odoo ORM, module architecture, models, views, actions, menus, security, workflows, and scheduled actions.
• Strong XML and QWeb report-development skills.
• Working knowledge of JavaScript and the Odoo Owl framework.
• Strong PostgreSQL and SQL knowledge.
• Experience with Linux server environments.
• Practical knowledge of Git, GitHub, branching, version control, code review, and deployment procedures.
• Experience with Odoo.sh development, staging, production branches, backups, logs, testing, and deployment.
• Experience with REST APIs, external API integrations, webhooks, and third-party systems.
• Strong knowledge of Odoo Studio, automated actions, approval workflows, and report customization.
• Experience with Odoo data migration, import templates, data validation, reconciliation, and opening balances.
• Experience upgrading Odoo versions and maintaining custom modules across upgrades.
• Strong functional knowledge of Accounting, CRM, Sales, Purchase, Inventory, Manufacturing, Rental, Projects, Field Service, Maintenance, HR, • Payroll, Quality, Documents, and Approvals.
• Excellent understanding of accounting workflows, including chart of accounts, journals, customer and supplier invoices, payment reconciliation, analytic accounting, project profitability, VAT, and financial reporting.
• Understanding of UAE VAT and KSA VAT/ZATCA requirements.
• Ability to analyse business processes, prepare workflow diagrams, write functional specifications, and define approval matrices.
• Ability to distinguish between standard configuration, Studio customization, API integration, and custom-code development.
• Strong troubleshooting, testing, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to train users and explain technical matters clearly to non-technical employees and managers.
• Professional written and spoken English.
• Relevant bachelor’s degree or technical qualification.
Preferred qualifications:
• Official Odoo certification.
• Previous experience leading a multi-company ERP implementation.
• Experience with manufacturing, industrial operations, rental, field services, project contracting, and service businesses.
• Experience implementing ISO 9001-related quality and document-control processes in an ERP.
• Arabic language skills are an advantage but are not mandatory.
