Job description

We are hiring a dedicated QA/QC Engineer – Electrical & Instrumentation to support a critical offshore EPC project in the UAE, focused on construction, commissioning, and flare minimization initiatives. The candidate will be responsible for implementing strict quality control measures on all Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) works, ensuring adherence to ADNOC standards, project specifications, and international codes.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Quality Assurance & Control Execution


    • Inspect and supervise E&I installations such as cable trays, power cables, control panels, lighting, grounding, field instruments, and junction boxes.


    • Ensure compliance with project specifications, ADNOC standards, and international codes (IEC, NEC, API, etc.).


    • Verify material receiving, storage, and installation against approved material submittal and drawings.


  2. Document Preparation & Review


    • Prepare and maintain Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, and Quality Control Procedures.


    • Maintain accurate inspection records, punch lists, and checklists.


  3. Testing & Commissioning Support


    • Conduct pre-commissioning and commissioning inspections of instrumentation systems, loop checking, and continuity/megger testing of cables.


    • Witness Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) where required.


  4. Coordination & Compliance


    • Liaise with construction teams, vendors, subcontractors, and client representatives to address non-conformities and resolve quality issues.


    • Raise NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) and ensure proper corrective and preventive actions are taken.


  5. Site Surveillance & Reporting


    • Perform day-to-day site surveillance and monitor contractor compliance with quality standards.


    • Submit daily, weekly, and monthly QA/QC reports to the Project QA/QC Manager.


    • Ensure final documentation and dossier preparation for handover.


  6. HSE Alignment


    • Ensure all quality inspections and testing activities are conducted in line with the site HSE policies, especially in hazardous areas.


    • Support safe execution during hot work and energization tasks.



Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation Engineering.


  • Minimum 6–8 years of QA/QC experience in EPC Oil & Gas projects.


  • Mandatory: Experience in offshore construction and ADNOC projects.


  • Strong knowledge of flare systems, low-voltage power systems, process instrumentation, and DCS/PLC control systems is an advantage.


  • Certifications such as ISO 9001:2015 Auditor, CSWIP, or equivalent preferred.


  • Proficient in using inspection tools, electrical testing equipment, and MS Office.


  • Good interpersonal, analytical, and documentation skills.
