Position : Procurement Executive Department : Events & Exhibitions Duration : 6 Months Job Purpose: Procurement Officers are responsible for assessing products, services and suppliers and negotiating contracts.
Also, responsible for ensuring that approved purchases are of sufficient quality and are cost-efficient to support the operational needs of business units.
Job Description: Coordination of Procurement related queries, documentation, registers and filing system.
Preparing plans for the purchase of equipment, services, and supplies.
Managing inventories and maintaining accurate purchase and pricing records.
Reviewing, comparing, analyzing, and approving products and services to be purchased across Events.
Payment terms, negotiation, optimization and management.
Set and plan how to achieve supplier accreditation and service level management.
Coordinate annual overseas orders.
Keep daily records.
Bar code assets and update asset register.
Annual stock asset take.
Accounts to be submitted for payment to vendors on time.
Reconcile or resolve order discrepancies with supplies.
Make or purchase policy analysis and recommendations.
Lease or purchase policy evaluation and recommendation.
Operating Environment Office based job; require working longer hours on computer.
Qualifications: Bachelor's and Associate Degree in Education, Business, Business/Administration, Finance, Technical, Management, Business/Management, Accounting 2+ years of experience as a procurement officer or in a similar position.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing software.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Good analytical and strategic thinking skills.
Supervisory and management experience.
