About the Role

We are working with an Architectural and Engineering Consultancy based in Dubai who are seeking an experienced MEP Manager. This is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the design, coordination, and delivery of MEP projects.

The ideal candidate will come from a strong mechanical engineering background, with extensive experience working within the UAE and a deep understanding of local regulations, codes, and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the MEP design and coordination process across multiple projects from concept through to completion
  • Provide technical leadership and oversight to multidisciplinary project teams
  • Ensure all MEP systems are designed and delivered in line with project requirements, local authority regulations, and international standards
  • Review and approve MEP designs, calculations, specifications, and drawings
  • Coordinate closely with architectural, structural, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of building systems
  • Monitor project progress, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and authorities to resolve technical issues and ensure successful project delivery
  • Support the Technical Director in driving innovation, best practice, and continuous improvement across the MEP function
  • Mentor and develop junior and mid-level engineering staff
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline)
  • Minimum of 20 years’ experience in MEP design and project delivery
  • Proven experience working within the UAE, with strong knowledge of local authority requirements (e.g. DEWA, DM, Civil Defence, etc.)
  • Background in a reputable architectural and/or engineering consultancy environment
  • Strong leadership and team management experience
  • Excellent technical knowledge across mechanical systems, with good understanding of electrical and public health disciplines
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications
  • Arabic language skills (preferred but not essential)
  • Professional certifications or memberships (e.g. CEng, MCIBSE, ASHRAE, etc.)
  • Experience working on large-scale, complex developments across sectors such as commercial, hospitality, mixed-use, or residential
