Job description

  • Analyze project drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed MEP cost estimates.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather pricing and scope information.
  • Perform quantity take-offs and cost analysis for HVAC, electrical, fire protection, and plumbing systems.
  • Develop and maintain a database of unit costs and historical data.
  • Prepare bid packages and proposals for clients.
  • Review and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes.
  • Participate in value engineering and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as required.
  • Ensure estimates comply with company standards and client requirements.


Skills

  • Experience with BIM and Revit.
  • Familiarity with local building codes and regulations.
  • LEED certification or knowledge of sustainable building practices.
