Job description

The Project Manager for a steel factory in Kuwait plays a pivotal role in overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of various projects within the facility. This position requires a blend of technical knowledge, leadership skills, and strategic thinking to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Project Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and quality assurance, to drive project success and enhance operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and manage multiple projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  2. Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  3. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to gather project requirements and ensure effective communication.
  4. Monitor project progress and performance, implementing corrective actions as necessary to mitigate risks.
  5. Conduct regular project meetings to update stakeholders on progress, challenges, and next steps.
  6. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards throughout all project phases.
  7. Prepare and present project reports to senior management, highlighting key metrics and outcomes.
  8. Facilitate training and development for team members to enhance project management capabilities.
  9. Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings within project execution.
  10. Foster a collaborative team environment to promote innovation and problem-solving.

Preferred Candidate:

  1. Proven experience in project management within the manufacturing or steel industry.
  2. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide teams.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
  4. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  5. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  6. Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  7. Strong understanding of budgeting and financial management principles.
  8. Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and environments.
  9. Commitment to safety and quality in all aspects of project management.
  10. Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
