Job Purpose: This position is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and governance of item/material master data across ERP and related systems; Supports Procurement, Logistics, Sales, Finance, and Supply Chain by maintaining a single, reliable source of item data that enables smooth business execution and decision-making.
Duties & Responsibilities: Item Master Data Governance & Accuracy
• Define and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and workflows for item creation, modification, and deletion.
• Oversee the creation, modification, and maintenance of item master records in system.
• Ensure all item attributes are accurate, complete, and aligned with business rules, including descriptions, UOM, pricing, costing, HS codes, origin, lead times.
• Implement strict controls to prevent duplicate, obsolete, or incorrect item entries. Data Quality, Integrity and System Management.
• Support in implementation routine data cleansing initiatives to identify and merge duplicate records and deactivate obsolete/discontinued SKUs.
• Ensure data synchronization across ERP and integrated systems.
• Support ERP upgrades and system migrations.
• Support in periodic data audits and coordinate corrective actions.
• Define and monitor KPIs related to item master accuracy, turnaround time, and data completeness.
People Management
• Provide feedback and coaching to team members.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Promote a safe and positive work environment.
• Assign tasks and monitor performance.
Qualification and Relevant Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5 to 8 years of experience with at least 2-3 years in a lead or supervisory role.
• Experience in automotive is a must, spare parts, or distribution environments preferred.
Job/Technical Knowledge:
• Strong understanding of ERP item master structures (SAP 4HANNA).
• Knowledge of Master Data, Cross references, OEM, OES references, inventory management, and procurement.
• Familiarity with HS codes, country of origin, and compliance requirements.
• Understanding of data governance and internal controls.
• Awareness of IMS policy
• Awareness of safety and health risks and controls for risk reduction related to area of work
• Awareness of environment aspects and impact and controls related to impact reduction related to area of work
• Awareness of IMS procedures related to their area of work
