Job Purpose

Provide leadership oversight for centralized Payroll, Staff Travel, and Employee Services, ensuring compliance with labor and employment laws. This role is pivotal in efficiently providing services to employees and driving change initiatives to improve employee experience.



Key Result Responsibilities
  • Implement and maintain a centralized shared services model within HR to optimize resources, streamline processes, provide efficient services, and improve employee experience.
  • Build a high-performing HR Shared Services Team with a simple, adaptable, and efficient structure.
  • Drive ongoing improvements by standardizing, automating, and consolidating processes to support HR strategy goals. Identify and troubleshoot problem areas in service delivery processes, recommending solutions.
  • Create the strategy, build the tactical plan and roadmap and implement to create a seamless and digital employee experience-
  • Drive operational performance and service excellence within the HR Shared Services team, monitoring performance against defined standards.
  • Proactively identify and implement opportunities to improve employee experience through internal and vendor protocol changes. Monitor internal control procedures to ensure accountability.
  • Seek opportunities to automate processes, leverage technology, and optimize resources to enhance service levels and manage costs.
  • Provide direction and oversight for the Payroll function across all companies, ensuring compliance with local laws and Air Arabia Group standards. Support and guide Payroll team members regarding system processes, enhancements, and new employment conditions.
  • Oversee and direct the Employee Services & Staff Travel function, ensuring optimal resource use, standardized processes across the Group, and enhanced service delivery.
  • Ensure efficient management of documentation processes (visas, residency permits, medical processes) through in-house or outsourced agreements, maintaining agreed service level standards through regular monitoring and corrective actions.
  • Enhance employee experience and bring efficiencies to centralized insurance benefits processes. Automate processes where possible to improve service levels and response times.
  • Develop robust processes to maintain the integrity of all systems and data across functions.
  • Generate analytical reports with insights and recommendations for management action

Qualifications (Academic, training, languages)

Bachelor's degree in Economics, Human Resources, Human Sciences, Technology, Business Administration, Management, or equivalent from a recognized university. An MBA with a major in the specified or related area is preferred.



Work Experience
  • 10+ years of comprehensive working experience in Human Resources, preferably in the airline industry, with at least 3 years in a managerial role leading HR Shared Services.
  • Experience in a mid-sized organization operating on a regional/multinational level.
  • Analytical mindset with experience in process improvement and change management.
  • Strong communication, leadership and team management skills.
  • Digitally Savvy, Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel and data reporting tools.
  • Proven project management knowledge.
  • Ability to identify and mitigate operational risks.
  • Experience in driving change initiatives and continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge of local labor and employment laws and regulations.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
