The Department of Integrative Agriculture at United Arab Emirates University invites applications for a full-time Instructor in Meat Science. The successful candidate will contribute to teaching, laboratory instruction, and academic support within the department’s undergraduate programs. The primary responsibility of the instructor will be to teach high-quality laboratories across a range of courses, including, but not limited to, Meat Science, Animal Welfare, and Post-harvest Physiology of Plant and Animal Systems. The candidate is expected to prepare, organize, and teach laboratory sessions, ensuring adherence to safety, ethical, and animal welfare standards. In addition to laboratory instruction, the instructor will assist in delivering practical demonstrations and student assessments. The candidate will support curriculum delivery by developing laboratory manuals, instructional materials, and innovative teaching approaches that enhance student learning outcomes. Active engagement with students through mentoring, advising, and academic support is expected. The successful candidate will also contribute to departmental service and administrative activities, including participation in committees, coordination of laboratory resources, invigilation of examinations, and continuous program improvement initiatives.


Minimum Qualifications:


Master’s degree in Animal Science, Food Science, or a closely related field.


Preferred Qualifications:


• Master’s degree with specialization in Meat Science or related disciplines. • Demonstrated experience in teaching or assisting with laboratory-based courses in animal or food sciences. • Familiarity with meat processing, quality evaluation, food safety standards, and postharvest handling systems.
