Job description
HSE Policy Implementation:
- Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies and procedures specific to offshore support vessel operations.
- Ensure compliance with local and international HSE regulations (e.g., IMO, SOLAS, MARPOL, ISM, ISO 45001).
- Conduct regular reviews and updates to HSE policies as required.
Risk Management:
- Identify potential HSE hazards and assess risks related to vessel operations.
- Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and inspections onboard vessels.
- Implement preventive measures and corrective actions to mitigate risks.
Safety Training and Awareness:
- Coordinate HSE training programs for crew members and shore-based staff.
- Conduct safety drills, emergency response exercises, and onboard safety briefings.
- Promote a strong safety culture and awareness across the organization.
Incident Investigation and Reporting:
- Lead investigations into HSE incidents, near misses, and accidents.
- Prepare detailed incident reports and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate HSE records and incident logs.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Monitor compliance with local, national, and international maritime safety regulations.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies, port authorities, and classification societies as required.
- Ensure vessels maintain valid HSE certifications and permits.
Emergency Response and Preparedness:
- Develop and implement emergency response plans for offshore vessels.
- Conduct regular emergency preparedness drills and exercises.
- Coordinate with vessel masters and crews during emergencies.
HSE Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare monthly HSE performance reports for management review.
- Maintain comprehensive HSE documentation, including safety checklists, risk assessments, and training records.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for HSE performance improvement.
- Implement best practices and innovations in maritime safety.
- Stay updated on industry trends and HSE advancements.
