This is one of those rare Dubai roles where the brief is genuinely “build it properly”.
We’re exclusively partnering with a high-growth Fintech to hire a Head of Engineering who can scale a team, raise the bar on delivery, and create an engineering culture people actually want to be part of. Not a caretaker role. Not a “keep the lights on” job. This is a leadership seat with real influence.
The package (serious)
Why you’ll care You’ll be stepping into a business that’s investing in engineering — not just talking about it. They want a leader who can bring structure without killing speed, and who can partner with Product and the commercial side without turning everything into politics.
If you’re the kind of leader who:
What you’ll own
What they’re looking for (in plain English)
You’re the kind of engineering leader who can walk into a fast-moving Fintech and quickly bring calm, clarity, and momentum. You’ve got the judgement to know when to move fast, when to slow down, and how to keep quality high without turning delivery into bureaucracy.
You’ve built and led strong teams before — not just hiring, but creating an environment where good engineers stay. You know how to set standards, coach managers, and hold people to outcomes in a way that’s fair, direct, and consistent.
You’re technically credible. Not in a “hands-on every line of code” way, but in a way where senior engineers respect you: you can challenge architecture decisions, ask the right questions, and steer the platform toward scale, resilience, performance, and security.
You understand modern engineering delivery: clean planning, predictable releases, solid QA discipline, sensible DevOps/CI/CD, and an incident process that learns and improves rather than blames. You’ve lived through growth pains and know how to build systems that don’t fall over when volumes spike.
Because it’s Fintech, you’re comfortable operating in a high-trust, regulated environment. You take security seriously, you understand the importance of controls and auditability, and you can partner confidently with Compliance and Risk without slowing the business to a crawl.
Most importantly: you’re commercially aware. You can translate “engineering reality” into business language, align priorities with Product and leadership, and keep everyone focused on what matters—shipping the right things, the right way.
You'll no longer be considered for this role and your application will be removed from the employer's inbox.
