Job Purpose


This role is an integral part of the Corporate Talent Management team within the Global Human Resources Function at Weatherford, UAE. Based in Technopark Dubai, UAE, the NextGen Program Manager will focus on recruiting and training initiatives while overseeing all PL (Product Line) activities. Working in close collaboration with HR Leadership, Global and Geozone HR Business Partners, and other HR COEs, this position serves as an embedded Subject Matter Expert on talent acquisition and talent management best practices in MENA, with specific focus on NextGen initiatives. The role maintains an effective level of business literacy about organizational talent priorities to drive optimal talent practices across the enterprise, particularly in the MENA region. This role involves travelling to some extent (20-30%) across MENA.


Responsibilities


  • Lead the NextGen initiatives focused on recruiting and training engineers for the oil & gas industry
  • Oversee all PL activities, ensuring alignment with business objectives and talent requirements
  • Develop and implement recruiting strategies to identify and attract top engineering talent
  • Design and manage training programs to accelerate competency development of new hires
  • Monitor and improve key metrics including training completion rates, time-to-competency, and stakeholder satisfaction
  • Undertake the role of Performance Management Champion, conducting educational workshops, calibration sessions, and consultations
  • Serve as the Talent focal point for identification, succession planning, and development plan consolidation
  • Analyze workforce needs versus available talent pool across the MENA region
  • Interpret and present data as key metrics to leadership and stakeholders
  • Create and deliver Talent initiatives across the enterprise
  • Collaborates with Human Resources, Global Talent Acquisition and Talent Development to drive strategies for recruitment & retention
  • Fosters an environment that supports the attraction & retention of high-performing talented workforce
  • Enforces growth opportunities for engineering talent as per technical career paths.
  • Demonstrates leadership, ethical behavior, and adherence to Weatherford standards at all times.
  • Contributes to the Weatherford HR strategy with a focus on engineering talent development
  • Creates a compelling vision and purpose that is understood across the organization

Qualifications

  • Specialized Microsoft Office skills with a particular focus on Excel and PowerPoint
  • Prior experience with projects or initiatives involving the recruitment and technical training of engineers.
