We're hiring a developer who works with AI tooling at the centre of their workflow — someone who can take a brief and ship a polished product by orchestrating modern AI coding tools, while bringing the judgement to know when the output is right.
Louis Charles International is building a CRM and sales platform designed specifically for how high-performing fintech teams actually sell — not a generic pipeline tool reskinned for the sector, but a product built around the real workflow. We're a small, focused team, and we're growing deliberately.
We move quickly because we've rethought how we build software. Tools like Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor sit at the centre of our process. Our developers scope, architect, review, and ship — the IDE and the model are means to an end, and we stay flexible about both.
You'll own features end-to-end. A brief lands, you scope it, you architect the approach, you direct your AI tooling to build it, you review the output critically, and you ship it. You'll work across the stack — frontend, backend, database, integrations — because in an AI-assisted workflow those boundaries matter less than they used to, and you'll back what you build with automated tests as standard.
You'll also have a hand in how the product looks and feels. We use modern AI design tooling (Claude Design, Figma AI, and similar) to move from idea to interface quickly. You don't need to be a designer, but a real eye for UX — knowing when something feels off and why — goes a long way here.
Our stack
You won't be expected to know all of this on day one. Architecture and judgement matter more than any single framework, and solid fundamentals transfer:
- **Frontend:** React + Inertia, TypeScript, Tailwind
- **Backend:** Laravel (PHP), PostgreSQL, REST APIs
- **Testing:** Automated test suites — Pest (backend) and Vitest (frontend); we expect features to ship with tests
- **Infrastructure:** AWS serverless, modern CI/CD pipelines
- **Tooling:** GitHub, Claude Code / Codex / Cursor, AI design tooling
We care more about how you think than which stack was on your last project.
What we need from you
You don't need a decade of experience, and you don't need to be a senior engineer. We hire for fundamentals and judgement first — the things that are hard to teach.
- Solid software development fundamentals — you understand what good code looks like, why architecture matters, and how to debug when things go wrong
- Comfortable across the stack (frontend, backend, database) at a working level
- You write and maintain automated tests as part of shipping — not as an afterthought
- You know GitHub workflows well — branches, PRs, reviews, CI/CD, the full loop
- You can take a brief, ask the right questions, and turn it into a shipped, polished product working independently
- You're a self-starter who manages your own time and priorities
- A genuine eye for UX and UI, and sound judgement on when a design is working and when it isn't
- Fluency with AI development tooling is a strong advantage — but if you're a sharp developer who's curious and ready to learn it, we'll bring you up to speed
You'll be working with customer and sales data in a fintech context. Handling it responsibly matters; the sector-specific compliance side is something we'll train you on.
Why this role is worth your time
**You'll build something that matters.** This is a flagship product in a sector with real money and real problems to solve. Your work will be used by fintech teams closing actual deals.
**Real ownership.** On a small team, your fingerprints are on product, architecture, and UX decisions — not just tickets. What you build ships, and you see its impact.
**Genuine autonomy.** We trust developers to run their own week. You'll have the space to do your best work without being managed line by line.
**You'll work with current tooling.** The latest models, modern AI-assisted IDEs, and the best design tools available. As the tooling improves, so does how we work — you won't be maintaining a stack that's standing still.
**Internal hackathons.** We regularly set time aside for the team to experiment with new tooling and ideas. Several of our best product directions have started there.
You'll no longer be considered for this role and your application will be removed from the employer's inbox.
