Job description

  • Preparing estimates and Bill of Quantities for projects received.
  • Assisting with the production feasibility studies and estimates from minimal design information, through to detailed cost plans.
  • Interfacing with the clients and consultants in the pre award stage.
  • All major strategic procurement from identification of approved materials, verifying quantities as per the plan v/s actual.
  • Working closely with suppliers and clients to improve operation and reduce probable costs while project executions.
  • Coordination with the operation manager and the BDE.
  • Coordinating with procurement advising on supply constraints, forecast information or products, recommendation on alternative products, push through scheduling of orders, reports on order status etc.
  • Monitors and prepares cost variations.
  • Verifies & certifies suppliers and vendor's invoices and quotes.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an Estimator in the upholstery and furniture manufacturing industry.
  • Strong understanding of upholstery and furniture manufacturing processes, materials, and finishes.
  • Familiarity with CAD software and other estimation tools is advantageous.
  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills to perform accurate calculations.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to interpret project specifications and blueprints.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills to collaborate with internal teams and suppliers.
  • Time management and organizational abilities to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering reliable estimates.
  • Knowledge of sustainability practices and eco-friendly materials in furniture manufacturing is a plus.
