Preparing estimates and Bill of Quantities for projects received.
Assisting with the production feasibility studies and estimates from minimal design information, through to detailed cost plans.
Interfacing with the clients and consultants in the pre award stage.
All major strategic procurement from identification of approved materials, verifying quantities as per the plan v/s actual.
Working closely with suppliers and clients to improve operation and reduce probable costs while project executions.
Coordination with the operation manager and the BDE.
Coordinating with procurement advising on supply constraints, forecast information or products, recommendation on alternative products, push through scheduling of orders, reports on order status etc.
Monitors and prepares cost variations.
Verifies & certifies suppliers and vendor's invoices and quotes.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience as an Estimator in the upholstery and furniture manufacturing industry.
Strong understanding of upholstery and furniture manufacturing processes, materials, and finishes.
Familiarity with CAD software and other estimation tools is advantageous.
Excellent mathematical and analytical skills to perform accurate calculations.
Detail-oriented with the ability to interpret project specifications and blueprints.
Effective communication and negotiation skills to collaborate with internal teams and suppliers.
Time management and organizational abilities to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering reliable estimates.
Knowledge of sustainability practices and eco-friendly materials in furniture manufacturing is a plus.
