Job description

Position: Chemist – Cosmetics & Personal Care

Experience: 5 to 7 years

Location: Dubai, UAE

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Cosmetic Chemist to join our growing team at GMT Global Manufacture. The ideal candidate will have 5–7 years of hands-on experience in formulation development for skincare, haircare, and personal care products. You will be responsible for creating, testing, and refining formulations, producing approved samples, and working closely with the R&D and production teams to ensure consistency and quality.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, or related field
  • 5–7 years experience in a cosmetic or personal care manufacturing setup
  • Strong knowledge of raw materials, preservatives, and emulsification systems
  • Experience in producing approved lab and production samples
  • Ability to troubleshoot formulation or production issues
  • Good communication and documentation skills


Skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and optimize formulations for creams, lotions, serums, oils, scrubs, and gels
  • Produce lab samples and scale them up to approved pre-production batches
  • Maintain accurate records of formulation trials and raw material compatibility
  • Ensure all formulations comply with UAE/GCC regulations and INCI standards
  • Work closely with the production team to ensure seamless batch-to-batch transfer
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to meet product expectations
  • Conduct stability and compatibility testing of new products
  • Stay updated with trends, new ingredients, and global market innovations
