MAIN OBJECTIVE OF ROLE
To supervise all flight instructors and SFIs to ensure standardised, high-quality flight instruction through an annual Flight Instructor (FI) and SFI’s standardisation programme, overseeing training and suitability of new Fis and SFis, and applying a robust assessment process to monitor instructional quality.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Monitors trainee performance and when necessary, instigation and supervision of remedial training as required, recommending changes and improvements to the flight training syllabi.
  • Oversees the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of trainee flight instruction records and initiates corrective actions when deficiencies are identified.
  • Conducts the final review and acceptance of trainee flight instruction records upon completion to confirm training requirements have been met.
  • Liaises with management to appropriate availability of flight instructors in line with approved courses, trainee numbers, and operational requirements.
  • Maintains oversight of flight instructors’ licensing, medical validity and training records to ensure all regulatory validity and revalidation requirements are met.
  • Ensures instructor and trainee recency compliance and monitors adherence to flight and duty time limitations, ensuring any violations are reported and investigated.
  • Reports any failure to comply with regulations or the relevant provisions of the Operations and Training Manuals to relevant stakeholders within flydubai.
  • Ensures standardization of all flight instructors and provides instructor briefing materials related to flight and flight simulation training activities.
  • Delegates standardization and supervision of flydubai Instructor Examiners (IEs) to Standardization Instructors (SIs) while retaining overall accountability for training quality and standards.
  • Ensures appropriate arrangements are in place for the signing of all course completion certificates for any courses offered by flydubai.
  • Assists with ensuring that all flight simulation training is conducted in accordance with the applicable regulation of the Competent Authority.
  • Ensures that qualifying training personnel is appropriately trained, certified, and allocated to the relevant training events in accordance with the applicable training plan.
  • Provides support in developing and providing appropriate training courses and programs supporting the approved courses.
  • Maintains the flydubai Instructor/Examiner Master List, ensuring all legal and operational documents pertaining to their role are up-to-date and uploaded for all training and checking personnel.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School Diploma
  • Fluent in English
  • Experience in leading Flight Training Academy designing, implementing and overseeing ab-initio training programs in alignment with ICAO, GCAA and airline partner requirements Highly experienced in instructor, development, standardisation, and performance management, ensuring consistent training delivery and assessment standards Strong operational and safety leadership, with hands-on involvement in simulator training, quality assurance, and continuous improvement to support cadet readiness for airline operations
  • Years with qualifications: 8 - 10 years
  • Preferred to have multi-crew experience, strong aviation knowledge, ICAO English Level 5 or above, and familiarity with aviation authorities including ICAO, CAA, EASA and FAA
  • Must Have Valid ATPL and a TRE certificate Holds the highest professional pilot license related to flying training courses
