Job description
Job Focus: Process safety consulting in energy and chemical sectors, primarily in Gulf countries (Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman).
Key Tasks:
- Conduct fundimantal works, e.g. field work, data collection and organization, preparing reports, for safety studies like HAZOP (Hazard and Operability Study), SIL (Safety Integrity Level), and QRA (Quantitative Risk Assessment).
- Apply expertise in process engineering, instrumentation, equipment, automation, and petroleum engineering.
- Support project managers with coordination, documentation, and drafting safety consulting reports.
- Commit to continuous learning to stay updated on new techniques and industry standards.
Work Hours: 48 hours per week.
Skills
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Storage and Transportation, or a related discipline.
- Degree must be from a university listed in the QS World University Rankings or US News & World Report.
- Educational certificate Attestation required.
Professional Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in process safety, chemical plant operations, or related fields.
Language Proficiency
- Fluency in English as the working language.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in process safety methodologies, including HAZOP, SIL, and QRA.
- Expertise in interpreting and developing Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
- Familiarity with risk assessment tools such as BowtieXP or PHAST.
- Knowledge of industry standards, including API 520/521 for pressure-relieving systems, and emerging technologies like digital twins for process safety.
