Chartering Assistant

Key Responsibilities

Chartering Coordination

• Assist in vessel chartering under guidance from China head office
• Coordinate closely with head office on chartering execution
• Liaise with ship owners, brokers, and internal teams

Operations & Post-Fixture

• Follow up on vessel operations and port handling
• Monitor loading/discharging progress and vessel schedules
• Coordinate with port agents, terminals, and service providers
• Support handling of post-fixture activities

Reporting & Communication

• Prepare operational updates and voyage reports
• Maintain proper documentation of chartering and operations
• Ensure smooth communication between UAE office and China team

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years experience in any of below areas:
• Chartering / Chartering Assistant
• Ship Broking 
• Shipping Agency 
• Port Captain / Vessel Operations
• Post-fixture operations 
• Good command of English (mandatory)
• Willing to learn and grow in the shipping/chartering field
• Strong communication and coordination skills
• Responsible, detail-oriented, and able to follow instructions

Preferred:

• Experience with India or China-related shipping business
• Candidates from south asia and willing to relocate

Salary & Benefits

• AED 7,500 per month (all-inclusive)
