Technical Business Systems Analyst



A leading organisation is seeking a talented Technical Business Systems Analyst to sit at the intersection of business and technology — translating stakeholder requirements into precise technical deliverables and working hands-on with development and testing teams to drive successful delivery.



Responsibilities:



  • Engage directly with business stakeholders to gather, analyse, and understand requirements, translating them into clear and actionable technical specifications.
  • Map business needs to technical solutions, defining what is required from a systems and development perspective.
  • Work closely with development teams to support the build process, leveraging Python to navigate, interpret, and troubleshoot code where required.
  • Identify and diagnose issues within the codebase, providing informed analysis to resolve breaks and minimise delivery risk.
  • Collaborate with testing teams to convert technical specifications and code logic into comprehensive, well-structured test cases.
  • Sit alongside QA teams during testing phases, providing technical context and supporting the development of SIT/UAT test scenarios.
  • Produce high-quality documentation — including business requirement documents, functional specifications, and technical write-ups — and confidently present and explain outputs to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Act as a bridge between business and technology throughout the full delivery lifecycle, from requirement intake through to deployment.

Qualifications and Skills:



  • 5–6 years of experience in a Technical Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst role, with hands-on involvement in development environments.
  • Proficiency in Python, with the ability to read, interpret, and navigate code to support troubleshooting and delivery.
  • Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical deliverables with clarity and precision.
  • Experience working alongside development and QA teams, including contributing to test case creation and SIT/UAT processes.
  • Excellent documentation skills, with the ability to produce structured, professional written outputs and articulate them clearly to stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset, comfortable working across both business and technical domains.
  • Banking or financial services experience is advantageous but not essential — we welcome candidates from all industries.
