About the job AUTOMATION ENGINEER

We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer – ICSS/DCS with strong offshore field and EPC project experience. The role covers the full EPC lifecycle, including engineering review, vendor coordination, site execution, commissioning, and start-up of automation systems on offshore platforms.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Support ICSS/DCS engineering during FEED and Detailed Design phases
  • Review system architecture, I/O lists, control narratives, and vendor documents
  • Coordinate with EPC teams, clients, and automation vendors
  • Monitor vendor deliverables, FAT, and procurement activities
  • Support construction activities including installation, cabling, and panel integration
  • Execute SAT, loop checking, and commissioning at offshore site
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues during start-up and operations
  • Ensure integration of DCS, SIS, Fire & Gas, and third-party systems
  • Verify as-built documentation and support system handover
  • Ensure compliance with offshore standards, safety, and HSE requirements

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation/Electrical/Electronics
  • 10–15 years of experience in oil & gas automation projects
  • Proven experience across full EPC cycle (Engineering to Commissioning)
  • Mandatory offshore field/commissioning experience
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of ICSS/DCS systems
  • Experience in FAT/SAT, loop checking, and start-up support
  • Understanding of SIS, Fire & Gas, and system integration
  • Familiarity with IEC/ISA standards
  • Strong coordination, troubleshooting, and vendor management skills
