An ABA Analyst is responsible for assessing, designing, implementing, and monitoring individualized behavior intervention programs for children, particularly those with developmental delays or conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder.

The role focuses on improving socially significant behaviors including communication, social skills, learning abilities, and daily living skills through evidence-based ABA methodologies.

The ABA Analyst works closely with children, families, therapists, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure consistent progress and high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities

1. Assessment & Program Development

  • Conduct initial and ongoing behavioral assessments (e.g., skill-based and functional behavior assessments)
  • Develop individualized ABA treatment plans tailored to each child’s needs
  • Set measurable goals for behavior reduction and skill acquisition

2. Intervention & Implementation

  • Design and oversee behavior intervention strategies using ABA principles
  • Supervise therapy sessions to ensure correct implementation
  • Modify programs based on data and observed progress

3. Data Collection & Analysis

  • Monitor and analyze data on client progress
  • Use data-driven decision-making to adjust treatment plans
  • Prepare regular progress reports for families and stakeholders

4. Supervision & Training

  • Train and supervise behavior therapists and support staff
  • Ensure treatment fidelity and adherence to best practices
  • Provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback

5. Parent & Caregiver Support

  • Conduct parent training sessions to support generalization of skills at home
  • Provide guidance on behavior management strategies
  • Maintain regular communication with families regarding progress

6. Collaboration

  • Work collaboratively with occupational therapists, speech therapists, and educators
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings
  • Align therapy goals across different developmental domains

7. Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation
  • Ensure ethical and professional standards are upheld
  • Follow relevant local regulations and licensing requirements

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology, Education, or related field
  • Certification or eligibility in ABA (CDA)
  • Strong knowledge of ABA principles and intervention techniques
  • Experience working with children with developmental needs
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
