Responsibilities:

1. Measure and cut fabric and materials according to specifications, using tools such as measuring tapes and scissors, ensuring precision and accuracy for each upholstery project.
2. Remove old upholstery and padding from furniture pieces, utilizing various hand tools, to prepare for new fabric application and ensure a clean slate for the final product.
3. Reconstruct furniture frames and cushions, applying techniques such as sewing and stapling, to restore and enhance the overall structure and comfort of the furniture.
4. Work closely with clients to understand their vision and preferences, providing guidance on fabric choices and styles, leading to a final product that meets or exceeds their expectations.
5. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring that tools and materials are properly stored, which promotes safety and efficiency while working on upholstery projects.
6. Collaborate with team members on large-scale projects, sharing techniques and insights, to ensure that deadlines are met and quality standards are upheld.
7. Stay updated on industry trends and new upholstery techniques, attending workshops and training sessions, to continuously improve skills and offer clients the latest in design and functionality.
8. Inspect finished pieces for quality assurance, checking for any defects or inconsistencies, which helps maintain the company’s reputation for high-quality craftsmanship.
9. Assist in inventory management, tracking materials and supplies needed for projects, ensuring that the workshop is well-stocked and ready for upcoming assignments.
