Responsibilities:

The main purpose of the Sr. Engineer – Planning role is to prepare the baseline schedule as well as tender schedule, overview schedules update and monitor project progress, administer schedule to clients / consultants and assist in delay analysis for EOT Claims.

  • Support the development of KSA national employees across the team to support corporate objectives, Saudization targets and the knowledge dissemination culture to ensure optimal building of internal capabilities and maximize their performance.
  • Conduct affairs with the highest standards of respect, integrity, accountability, agility, quality, safety and corporate governance
  • Ensure compliance with Code of Ethics policy and adopting company values 
  • Adopt and utilize systems and ERP 

Functional


  • Implementation of instructions, Deadlines, work Methodologies, project execution plan, procedures, procurement plan and overall project strategies in order to prepare baseline schedule 
  • Takes a lead in preparing Tender schedules as requested and checks that the correct scope of work is reflected on assigned schedules
  • Integrates inter-discipline schedule requirements and constraints to establish logical work sequences for assigned disciplines or specialties
  • Develops specific work breakdown structures and recommends appropriate modifications and revisions for new work items assigned
  • Provide site management the planned manpower requirements
  • Identify and analyze preliminary risks and recommend corrective measures
  • Oversee data inputs related to project execution plans and support development of required plans (constructability plan, procurement plan, engineering plan, construction schedule, budgets, mobilization plan) and budgets as per submitted bid
  • Ensure budgets, schedules, WBS and CBS are set-up in EPM and EPPM
  • Ensure EPM and EPPM users are selected and trained and assigned to the project
  • Support the performance of project controls resources activities on sites
  • Monitor performance of equipment and manpower, material deliveries and wastage and overall project cost controls
  • Identify, analyze and monitor schedule deviations for assigned disciplines or specialties including subcontractor and recommend corrective action/work-around solutions for project considerations
  • Prepare action plan and arrange action plans’ weekly meetings
  • Highlight activities with delay risk, allocate ownership of action plan, as well as identify target dates for completing the action plan
  • Review all the documents (letters, request for information, site inspection request, variation orders, drawings etc.) and identify the ones related to the delay events that will be used for preparation of claims for extension of time
  • Implementation of standard methods of delay analysis (as planned impacted, time impacts analysis etc.) for the preparation of claims for extension of time

Performing other duties related to the job as assigned by the Planning Department Manager



Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Engineering, Civil or relevant degree related to project management and/or construction is required
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant planning experience and working in sites
  • Advanced training courses in latest versions of Primavera, including EPPM
  • Professional knowledge in construction methods and procedures
  • Professional knowledge in project planning and scheduling software
