Purpose of the job
Plan and execute all preventive maintenance (PM) activities of the filling & packaging lines and relevant manufacturing equipment, in order to improve the overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), reduce the maintenance conversion cost & the wastage and eliminate quality failures and customer complaints.
Key Accountabilities
· Develop, implement, review, and improve the PM plans and schedules of the Milk Factory.
· Cover the PM of Filling and DE machines, and all relevant manufacturing packaging equipment (Printers, conveying systems, sticker & label applicators, cardboard packers, film wrappers, accumulators, cup applicators, Robots etc.).
· Arrange and order the required spare parts, electronics, and consumables, kaing into account the delivery time and budgets.
· Collaborate with all departments (Spare parts stores, planning, technical, production & quality) and communicate the PM schedules well in advance.
· Review and update the PM check lists and ensure all planned PM activities will be completed on time.
· Strictly follow the PM procedures and good maintenance practices and improve them further, considering the expected OEE, conversion costs, downtime, and quality of products.
· Ensure all production lines are always in the basic condition.
· Ensure there will be no shortcuts and quality of work is not compromised.
· Supervise the start-up of a system after PM ensuring a safe, smooth and efficient operation.
· Monitor the department's KPIs and take actions to reduce maintenance cost and improve OEE, wastage and quality failures.
· Train technicians and operators and develop new PM engineers.
· Work together with Head of Technical and technical team to prepare PM budget and improvement projects.
· Prepare weekly and monthly reports, based on the agreed KPIs and targets.
· Assist Head of Technical with other maintenance activities, in case there are no scheduled PM.
· Strictly follow and implement all health and safety and food safety procedures, protecting employees and products.
· Report all unsafe and risky operations.
· Play a crucial role during the installation and commissioning of new equipment and /or while upgrading an existing system.
Job Requirements
· Technical Education background is a must, engineering degree is an advantage.
· At least 5 years technical hands-on experience on servicing Tetra Pak filling and packaging systems (TBA 8, TBA 19, TBA 21, TBA 22, A3 speed, A3 flex etc.).
· Excellent understanding of automations and mechanical operation and maintenance.
· Ability to read P&IDs, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic diagrams.
· Extensive knowledge on troubleshooting technical malfunctions and breakdowns.
· Aseptic packaging knowledge is a must.
· Advanced Package integrity knowledge is a must.
· Languages: Fluent in English.
· Excellent communication & presentation skills. Excellent organizational skills.
· Strong knowledge of MS office.
· Ability to work under pressure and handle deadlines.
