INTECH Process Automation is seeking a skilled Service Engineer to join our Operations & Maintenance (O&M) team. The Service Engineer is responsible for the design, development, programming, and maintenance of industrial automation and control systems. The role involves ensuring reliable plant operations by monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and supporting commissioning and startup activities while adhering to safety and client standards.


Key Responsibilities:


System Design & Development


  • Design, develop, and program control systems (PLC, SCADA).
  • Prepare functional specifications, control philosophies, and system architecture.
  • Select appropriate hardware and software components based on project requirements.

Programming & Configuration


  • Develop, test, and implement PLC and SCADA programs.
  • Configure HMI/SCADA interfaces for effective process visualization and control.
  • Modify and optimize existing programs to improve system performance.

Troubleshooting & Maintenance


  • Monitor and maintain existing control systems to ensure continuous and efficient operations.
  • Diagnose and resolve control-related issues within plant processes.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on automation systems.

Testing & Commissioning


  • Conduct system testing, including FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) and SAT (Site Acceptance Test).
  • Lead or support commissioning and startup activities for new and upgraded systems.
  • Ensure systems meet operational and performance requirements.




Process Support


  • Work closely with operations and maintenance teams to support plant activities.
  • Analyze system performance and recommend improvements for efficiency and reliability.




Compliance & Safety


  • Ensure all control systems comply with relevant safety standards and company procedures.
  • Follow and promote best practices in automation safety and cybersecurity.
  • Maintain proper documentation for all systems and changes.
