The Senior HSE Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring health, safety, and environmental compliance within the architecture industry. This position involves developing, implementing, and maintaining HSE policies and procedures to safeguard employees and the environment. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of HSE regulations and best practices, along with the ability to foster a culture of safety within the organization. This role requires strong analytical skills to assess risks and implement effective mitigation strategies, ensuring that all projects adhere to local and international standards.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement HSE policies and procedures tailored to the architectural projects.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with HSE regulations.
- Provide training and support to staff on HSE practices and emergency response procedures.
- Investigate incidents and accidents, preparing detailed reports and recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with project managers to integrate HSE considerations into project planning and execution.
- Monitor and report on HSE performance metrics to senior management.
- Engage with regulatory bodies and ensure all necessary permits and licenses are obtained.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement in HSE practices across the organization.
- Stay updated on industry trends and changes in HSE legislation.
- Lead HSE meetings and workshops to enhance awareness and commitment to safety.
Preferred Candidate:
- Proven experience in HSE management within the architecture or construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of local and international HSE regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent are preferred.
- Experience in risk assessment and incident investigation.
- Proficiency in HSE management software and tools.
- Commitment to promoting a safe working environment.
- Ability to adapt to changing regulations and industry standards.
Skills
The candidates should possess strong experience in Project Management and Site Supervision, specifically in the following areas:
- 132/13.8 kV Substations
- 132/33 kV Substations
- 3000 MW VSC HVDC Converter Stations.
B.S. in Engineering or equivalent, and minimum industry certification from an internationally recognized agency (OSHA, NEBOSH, etc.) acceptable to SEC
