Job description

The Senior HSE Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring health, safety, and environmental compliance within the architecture industry. This position involves developing, implementing, and maintaining HSE policies and procedures to safeguard employees and the environment. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of HSE regulations and best practices, along with the ability to foster a culture of safety within the organization. Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement HSE policies and procedures tailored to the architectural projects.

  4. Investigate incidents and accidents, preparing detailed reports and recommendations for improvement.
  5. Collaborate with project managers to integrate HSE considerations into project planning and execution.
  6. Monitor and report on HSE performance metrics to senior management.
  7. Engage with regulatory bodies and ensure all necessary permits and licenses are obtained.
  8. Promote a culture of continuous improvement in HSE practices across the organization.
  9. Stay updated on industry trends and changes in HSE legislation.
  10. Lead HSE meetings and workshops to enhance awareness and commitment to safety.

Preferred Candidate:

  1. Proven experience in HSE management within the architecture or construction industry.
  2. Strong knowledge of local and international HSE regulations.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  6. Certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent are preferred.
  7. Experience in risk assessment and incident investigation.
  8. Proficiency in HSE management software and tools.
  9. Commitment to promoting a safe working environment.
  10. Ability to adapt to changing regulations and industry standards.
