The Safety Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring health, safety, and environmental (HSE) programs to ensure compliance with company policies, Saudi regulations, and international safety standards. The role requires strong technical knowledge of safety engineering principles, risk management expertise, and the ability to promote a proactive safety culture across project sites.
The candidate must ensure workplace safety, minimize operational risks, and support continuous improvement in safety performance.
Develop and implement project-specific health and safety plans.
Conduct risk assessments, hazard identification, and Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
Ensure compliance with Saudi safety regulations and international standards (OSHA, ISO, etc.).
Monitor site activities to ensure adherence to safety procedures and safe work practices.
Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and toolbox talks.
Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses; prepare detailed reports and recommend corrective actions.
Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safety devices.
Coordinate emergency response procedures and conduct mock drills.
Maintain safety documentation, records, and compliance reports.
Provide safety training and awareness programs to employees and subcontractors.
Liaise with project managers, engineers, and client representatives regarding safety matters.
Promote a strong safety culture and continuous improvement initiatives.
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Civil / Electrical / Industrial or related field).
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in safety engineering, preferably in construction, oil & gas, infrastructure, or industrial projects.
Valid Safety Certifications such as NEBOSH IGC / IOSH / OSHA (mandatory or preferred as per client requirement).
Knowledge of Saudi safety regulations and international HSE standards.
Strong knowledge of hazard identification and risk management principles.
Familiarity with HSE management systems and ISO 45001 standards.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to conduct safety audits and inspections independently.
Strong documentation and reporting skills.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Ability to work under pressure in dynamic site environments.
Proficiency in MS Office and safety reporting tools.
