About the Role:
We are seeking a seasoned Project Engineer based in Al-Khobar to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex engineering projects. The successful candidate will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage technical risks, negotiate with vendors and stakeholders, and ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and budget.
Responsibilities:
Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and technical requirements in collaboration with stakeholders
Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations
Monitor project progress, identify technical risks, and implement mitigation strategies
Lead technical negotiations with vendors, contractors, and partners to secure favorable terms and specifications
Facilitate problem-solving workshops to address engineering challenges and drive timely resolutions
Prepare and deliver regular technical status reports, presentations, and documentation to senior management and clients
Ensure compliance with local regulations, quality standards, and safety requirements
Mentor and support junior engineers and cross-functional team members
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project Engineer or in a similar role
Technical communication skills with at least 5 years of experience conveying complex engineering concepts
Technical negotiation skills with at least 5 years of experience securing agreements on technical specifications
Effective technical problem-solving skills with at least 5 years of experience resolving engineering issues
Technical risk identification skills with at least 5 years of experience assessing and mitigating project risks
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software
Fluency in English with strong written and verbal communication abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
PMP, PMI-ACP, or equivalent project management certification
Master’s degree in Engineering or Project Management
Experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, or heavy-industry projects in Saudi Arabia
Familiarity with Saudi Arabian regulations, standards, and local permitting processes
Proficiency in Arabic
Experience with Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project
