Job Title: MEP Draftsman
Location: Saudi Arabia (city, e.g. Riyadh/Jeddah/Dammam)
1. Core Responsibilities
Drawing Preparation: Responsible for preparing detailed MEP construction drawings (Shop Drawings), combined services drawings, and as-built drawings based on the engineer's design sketches.
The system covers: proficient design of HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and power & lighting (ELV) systems.
Collision detection: Conduct cross-disciplinary collision checks to optimize pipeline layouts and ensure unimpeded on-site construction.
Compliance: Ensure all drawings comply with SBC (Saudi Building Code), international standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, etc.), and project technical specifications.
2. Qualifications for the Position
Educational background: Associate degree or higher in mechanical or electrical engineering.
Software skills: Proficient in AutoCAD (mandatory). Expertise in Revit (BIM) (currently, most medium-to-large projects in Saudi Arabia require BIM modeling capabilities). Familiarity with Navisworks for collision detection is preferred.
Work Experience: At least 3-5 years of MEP drawing experience. Preference will be given to candidates with work experience in Saudi Arabia or the Middle East (GCC) region. Familiarity with Aramco standards or Civil Defense approval procedures is a significant advantage.
Language proficiency: Proficient in English communication (reading and writing), with the ability to comprehend technical specifications.
