Job description

Accenture Innovation · Connected Innovation Centers · Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Innovation Designer

We are Accenture Innovation — a collective of strategists, designers, facilitators, and builders. We work with the giga projects and organisations redefining Saudi Arabia and the wider region — helping their leaders find their most important growth opportunities and turn them into reality. We imagine what's possible. Then we go build it.

As an Innovation Designer, you:

Think clearly, learn fast, and make things that help people decide. You have a strong understanding of design and a genuine hunger to apply it to problems that matter. You are comfortable not knowing the answer yet — because you have the tools, the curiosity, and the rigour to go find it. You work across research, strategy, facilitation, and craft without needing to be asked which hat to wear.

You are at the start of your career, but not the start of your thinking. You bring intellectual seriousness, genuine craft, and a curiosity that doesn't switch off when the brief is done.

Day to day, you will:

Think

  • Help turn messy, ambiguous briefs into clear problems worth solving
  • Contribute to connecting design decisions to the business outcomes that matter to the people you're working with
  • Support the shaping of innovation programmes — from the first conversation through to delivery
  • Bring your own point of view into the work and be willing to discuss and defend it

Learn

  • Participate in and help design research with users and stakeholders — interviews, observation, co-creation — and turn what you find into something that drives decisions
  • Support the facilitation of workshops and working sessions with client teams, learning how to create the conditions for alignment, not just the agenda
  • Use AI tools as a genuine part of how you learn and explore — going further, faster, and in directions you wouldn't have found otherwise
  • Stay ahead of what's emerging in design, technology, and business — and bring new thinking into the work

Communicate

  • Make complex ideas visible — through wireframes, flows, frameworks, and experience maps that make the thinking clear to anyone in the room
  • Build rapid prototypes and vibe-coded demos using AI tools — making abstract ideas tangible enough for a senior client to react to
  • Create decks and materials that are sharp, clear, and worth reading — not just well-designed, but well-argued
  • Present your thinking with confidence and receive feedback with openness and a genuine desire to improve

Extras we'd love to see:

  • You can think at both the user level and the systems level — you see connections others miss
  • You can link a human experience to a business outcome and explain why it matters
  • You have experimented with emerging technologies — GenAI, voice, spatial — and thought seriously about what they make possible
  • You are drawn to other design disciplines — visual, content, service, business — and curious enough about each to collaborate well across all of them

Desired experience & skills:

  • A Masters degree in interaction design, product design, service design, design strategy, innovation, or a related field — or equivalent depth of thinking demonstrated through your work
  • A portfolio that shows how you think, not just what you've made — we want to see your process, your questions, and your judgement
  • Strong Figma skills and growing proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite
  • Active use of AI tools — Claude, Cursor, v0, Midjourney, or similar — to build, explore, and make things real
  • Some exposure to research or facilitation — through academic projects, internships, or your own work
  • You write well, speak clearly, and know what to cut
  • You are drawn to complexity, not put off by it
  • Experience in Saudi Arabia or the wider ME is a bonus. Curiosity about it is not optional.
