Job description

Black & Grey HR is partnering with a leading retail group in Saudi Arabia to hire a Head of Internal Audit for their supermarket division. The Head of Internal Audit will establish and execute an independent, objective assurance and consulting function that adds value and improves operations. The role will evaluate and strengthen risk management, control, and governance processes across the organization.Develop and align a risk-based internal audit plan with strategic priorities and regulations.Responsibilities:- Assess controls, governance, and risk management across business units.- Lead audits in stores, supply chain, procurement, finance, HR, and digital areas.- Ensure compliance with global internal audit standards and ethics.- Implement audit technologies and data analytics for efficiency and insight.- Deliver clear audit reports to senior management and the Audit Committee.- Track audit recommendations and escalate unresolved high-risk issues.- Promote a culture of ethics, integrity, and accountability.- Advise on control gaps, inefficiencies, and risk exposures.- Conduct investigations, fraud reviews, and special audits as needed.- Maintain high-quality audit documentation and methods.- Coordinate with external auditors and regulators.- Build and develop a high-performing audit team.- Regularly report to the Board on risk and mitigation.- Stay current on regulatory changes and emerging audit trends.Requirements- 10+ years of experience in internal audit, risk, or assurance, ideally within a retail or FMCG environment.- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business; CIA, CPA, or CISA preferred.- In-depth knowledge of internal audit principles, risk management, and control frameworks.- Familiarity with retail or FMCG operational audit techniques.- Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving abilities.- Excellent communication and report-writing skills.- High standards of ethics, confidentiality, and professional integrity.- Proficiency in audit software and ERP systems.- Understanding of relevant financial, regulatory, and legal frameworks in Saudi Arabia.Benefits- Competitive executive compensation and performance-linked incentives- Strategic leadership role with significant influence on organizational governance- Opportunity to build and shape a high-performing audit function within a leading retail group
