JD.com, Inc. - Equipment Maintenance
Job Summary:**
The Equipment Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of a wide range of industrial equipment within JD.com's operational facilities. This role involves performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to minimize downtime and support efficient logistics operations.
Job Responsibilities:**
* Perform routine preventative maintenance on a variety of equipment, including but not limited to conveyors, sortation systems, automated guided vehicles (AGVs), forklifts, and packaging machinery.
* Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues to identify root causes of equipment malfunctions.
* Execute repairs, replacements, and adjustments to faulty components and systems, ensuring equipment is restored to full operational capacity.
* Conduct regular inspections to identify potential problems and proactively address them before they lead to major breakdowns.
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, parts used, and equipment performance data.
* Collaborate with operations teams to schedule maintenance activities with minimal disruption to production schedules.
* Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, utilizing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe work practices.
* Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment as required.
* Participate in training and development programs to stay updated on new technologies and maintenance best practices.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
Job Qualifications:**
* High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree or vocational certification in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, electrical engineering, or a related field is highly preferred.
* Proven experience (2+ years) in equipment maintenance within a manufacturing, logistics, or industrial environment.
* Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical systems.
* Solid understanding of electrical systems, including schematics, motor controls, and sensors.
* Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
* Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and circuit diagrams.
* Proficient in using a variety of hand and power tools, as well as diagnostic equipment.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
* Physical ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work in various environmental conditions.
* Prior experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) is a plus.
