Job Requirements – Electrical (Design) Engineer for PV Project

  1. Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Power System and Automation, or other related majors.
  2. At least 3 years of relevant experience in electrical design within the renewable energy or power industry. Candidates with experience in PV power plant design, design review, or site technical support will be preferred.
  3. Must have participated in at least one utility-scale PV project of 100MW or above, with hands-on experience in electrical design, detailed design, design management, or technical coordination.
  4. Familiar with the electrical system configuration and design process of utility-scale PV power plants, including electrical primary and secondary systems, collection system, substation system, and grid connection system.
  5. Capable of reviewing and checking the technical specifications of long-lead key electrical equipment, including but not limited to transformers, SVG, GIS, and other major electrical equipment, and able to coordinate technical clarifications with designers, suppliers, and relevant stakeholders.
  6. Familiar with international standards, IEC standards, and local utility/grid requirements. Candidates with experience in reviewing technical documents under owner or EPC project execution mode will be preferred.
  7. Able to review electrical drawings, technical proposals, equipment datasheets, and interface documents, and identify design risks, inconsistencies, and optimization opportunities.
  8. Proficient in using common engineering software and drawing tools such as AutoCAD and Microsoft Office. Experience with power system calculation or simulation software is an advantage.
  9. Possess strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills, and be able to work effectively with multi-disciplinary teams, consultants, contractors, and equipment vendors.
  10. Good command of written and spoken English, with the ability to review and prepare technical documents in English.
  11. Strong sense of responsibility, with the ability to work under pressure and meet project schedule requirements.
