Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced and proactive EHS Senior Engineer to manage and implement environmental, health, and safety practices across transmission line projects. The role involves ensuring compliance with international safety standards, minimizing risks, and promoting a strong safety culture at project sites.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and monitor EHS policies, procedures, and programs at project sites
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, client requirements, and international safety standards
- Conduct risk assessments, hazard identification, and implement control measures
- Lead safety inspections, audits, and site evaluations to ensure safe working conditions
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed reports with corrective actions
- Coordinate and conduct safety training, toolbox talks, and awareness programs for site personnel
- Monitor contractor and subcontractor safety performance and enforce compliance
- Maintain all EHS documentation, reports, and records accurately
- Ensure proper usage of PPE and promote safe work practices across all levels
- Liaise with project teams, clients, and regulatory authorities on EHS matters
Required Qualifications- Bachelor’s Degree (B.E / B.Tech) in Electrical / Mechanical / Civil Engineering
- NEBOSH Certification (Full) – Mandatory
- 4 to 12 years of experience in EHS roles, preferably in transmission line or power projects
- Proven experience in handling large-scale infrastructure or utility projects
Technical Skills Required- Strong knowledge of EHS regulations, standards, and compliance requirements
- Experience in transmission line / power distribution projects
- Proficiency in risk assessment, incident investigation, and safety audits
- Familiarity with ISO standards such as ISO 45001 and ISO 14001
- Ability to prepare safety reports, documentation, and compliance records
- Good understanding of HSE management systems and procedures
