Job Description: Accounts Manager (On-site)

Reports To: Directly to Operations Manager With dotted line to COO / Chairman
Location: Saudi Arabia – Riyadh
Role Purpose
- The Accounts Manager will lead the day-to-day accounting operations of Al Manaar and its subsidiaries, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely financial reporting.
- The role is structured as a high-potential leadership track, where the candidate will progressively assume broader financial responsibilities with a clear pathway toward Financial Manager position based on performance and organizational needs.
Key Responsibilities
1. Core Accounting Operations
- Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations
- Ensure monthly, quarterly, and annual closing timely
- Maintain accuracy of financial records across entities
- Supervise accounting staff and workflows
- Direct interactions with accounting team within subsidiaries as needed.
2. Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare monthly financial reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
- Support consolidation across Al Manaar subsidiaries
- Analyze variances vs budget and prior periods
- Provide actionable insights to management
3.Compliance & Governance
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and local regulatory requirements in Saudi Arabia
- Coordinate with auditors (internal & external)
- Maintain strong internal controls and financial policies
- Support board-level reporting requirements
4. Cash Flow & Working Capital Management
- Monitor cash flow positions and liquidity across entities
- Track receivables, payables, and inventory impact on working capital
- Support forecasting accuracy and variance tracking
5. Systems & Process Improvement
- Improve accounting systems, reporting tools, and automation
- Standardize financial processes across subsidiaries
- Support implementation of ERP or reporting dashboards
6. Strategic & Leadership Exposure (Development Track)
- Support budgeting and financial planning cycles
- Participate in investment evaluations and business cases
- Assist in banking relationships and financing structures
- Gradually take ownership of finance-related decision support
Future Role Progression (Indicative)
- Subject to performance and business needs, the role may evolve into Financial Manager with full ownership of finance function, strategic planning, banking relationships, and board-level leadership.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
- 8 –12 years of relevant experience
- Experience in multi-entity or group structure preferred
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards
- Experience in Saudi Arabia (preferred)
Certifications (Preferred)
- CPA / ACCA / CMA or equivalent
- Additional certifications are a plus
