Accountant

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accountant to join our dynamic team in the fashion design industry. As an Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing insightful financial analysis to support our business objectives. Responsibilities:

2. Conduct monthly reconciliations of bank accounts and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
3. Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, collaborating with department heads to align financial goals with operational strategies.
4. Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends and variances to provide actionable insights to management.
5. Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and prepare necessary tax filings, including VAT and income tax returns.
6. Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.
7. Support the audit process by providing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries in a timely manner.
8. Assist in the development and improvement of accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
9. Provide training and guidance to junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and knowledgeable team environment.
10. Stay updated on industry trends and changes in accounting regulations to ensure the company remains compliant and competitive.

Preferred Candidate:

1. Proven experience as an Accountant, preferably within the fashion design or retail sector, demonstrating an understanding of industry-specific financial practices.
2. Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
3. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling effective collaboration with team members and external stakeholders.
4. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to generate complex financial reports and analyses.
5. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
