Key Responsibilities
• Lead the academic, operational, and administrative management of the BSc in International Hospitality Management programme.
• Ensure effective implementation of programme curriculum, teaching delivery, assessment, and quality assurance processes in line with ARIU and University of Derby regulations.
• Serve as the primary academic liaison with the counterpart Programme Leader and relevant academic departments at the University of Derby.
• Deliver lectures, tutorials, workshops, and practical learning sessions to undergraduate students across hospitality-related modules.
• Design, prepare, assess, and moderate coursework, examinations, and other student assessments in accordance with institutional policies.
• Provide academic advising, mentoring, and pastoral support to students to promote academic achievement, employability, and professional development.
• Develop and maintain strong links with the hospitality industry to support internships, field visits, guest speakers, and experiential learning opportunities.
• Contribute to programme enhancement initiatives, student recruitment events, open days, and employer engagement activities.
• Support continuous improvement of the programme to ensure alignment with current hospitality industry trends and employer expectations.
Essential Requirements
• A minimum of a Master’s degree in Hospitality Management or a closely related discipline.
• A minimum of four (4) years of teaching experience in higher education, hospitality training, or a relevant professional learning environment.
• Significant hospitality industry experience at supervisory or managerial level is required, preferably in Food & Beverage, Front Office, or Hotel Operations.
• Demonstrated ability to bridge academic teaching with practical industry application.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with a strong commitment to student-centred learning.
• Experience in curriculum coordination, programme administration, or academic quality processes will be an advantage.
• Candidates currently residing in Doha, Qatar, or willing to relocate to Qatar are encouraged to apply.
Preferred Candidate Profile
Preference will be given to candidates with:
• Previous experience in hospitality higher education programme leadership.
• Industry exposure within luxury hotels, international restaurant groups, or hospitality corporate training environments.
• Experience in student internship supervision, employer engagement, and practical hospitality project delivery.
• Familiarity with UK higher education quality standards or transnational education partnerships.
