Job description

  1. To oversee and optimize the daily operations of STPs, RO, greywater systems, and pumping stations, ensuring uninterrupted service and regulatory compliance.
  2. To lead large, multi-site technical teams, drive operational excellence, and implement performance-based KPIs across all water and wastewater treatment operations.
  3. To manage preventive and corrective maintenance programs using CMMS tools like SAP PM or Maximo, ensuring asset reliability and extended equipment life.
  4. To plan, execute, and supervise the commissioning and upgrade activities of water treatment facilities, ensuring compliance with technical and safety standards.
  5. To prepare, evaluate, and manage the full lifecycle of RFQ/RFP processes for mechanical, electrical, and water treatment systems, aligning procurement with project goals.
  6. To coordinate with key suppliers and OEMs, evaluate vendor performance, and manage AMCs and critical spare inventories for uninterrupted plant operations.
  7. To ensure the selection and usage of high-quality, reputable equipment brands in water treatment applications, enhancing system efficiency and reliability.
  8. To ensure operational compliance with all local authorities (Kahramaa, Ashghal, MoE, MoPH) and lead risk assessments, incident investigations, and corrective actions.
  9. To develop and enforce SOPs, HSE protocols, and emergency response plans that uphold safety, mitigate risks, and ensure readiness across all facilities.
  10. To serve as the key communication link between the organization and external stakeholders, ensuring timely reporting, transparency, and regulatory coordination.

Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering (Master’s preferred).

12–15 years of experience in water and wastewater operations, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role.

Strong knowledge of STPs, RO, greywater systems, and pumping station operations.

Familiarity with GCC regulations and compliance standards (Ashghal, Kahramaa, MoE).

Proven expertise in Operations management, team leadership, and performance optimization.

Experience with procurement, RFQs/RFPs, vendor evaluations, and contract management.

Skilled in CMMS tools like SAP PM, Maximo, or Infor for maintenance planning and execution.
