Job description

Job Summary

  • The jobholder plays a crucial role in shaping the cards operational services in line with the strategic vision of the Bank’s card business.
  • This role requires strong leadership and Management skill, good strategic thinking as well as strategic planning to lead a team in the execution of the business plan.
  • The role demands for innovation, to create automated solutions. Additionally, this role will require the skillset and in-depth knowledge of card operations, delivering superior customer services across all cards operational.
  • The role requires to be self-motivated to support cards business strategic target. Candidate should be well versed with Visa, MasterCard, Diners, JCB & China Union Pay issuing & acquiring rules and regulations.
  • The incumbent must be equipped with the latest technology development in the card business operations.

Key Accountabilities

  • Design and launch new card products and services from operational perspective; enhance existing ones to meet evolving customer needs.
  • Manage the full processing chain of cards from customer interface to industry gateway.
  • Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to innovate and enhance card operational services, will be responsible for the overall Cards Issuing and Acquiring business operations of the bank.
  • Manage key stakeholders, including card processors and service operations, ensuring effective transition to run operations.
  • The role requires to manage industry relationships such as Card association as well as other key internals partners such as card support teams.
  • Establish and manage a robust risk management framework for cards, ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Drive data-driven insights to improve card services and customer behaviour and report it to the COO for proposals and actions plans.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of card services, including card stock management and merchant services.
  • Lead a team of card professionals, providing leadership and development opportunities.
